When concrete repair makes sense
Concrete repair is worth doing when: the damage is confined to a limited area, the sub-base is stable and not the root cause, the crack or damage is not related to ongoing drainage or root movement, and the repaired concrete is expected to serve its purpose for a reasonable period.
When repair is not the right answer
Repair is not the right answer when: the damage is widespread, the same area has been repaired before, water is getting under the slab, or the cumulative repair cost approaches the cost of replacement.
